How We Got Here
- 2019
The First Pot
It started with a pot of Jollof Rice and a group of friends who kept asking for seconds. The idea that great Nigerian food should be accessible to everyone took root.
- 2020
Going Local
We started taking small orders from neighbours and colleagues. Word spread through family WhatsApp groups faster than we could keep up. The demand was real.
- 2021
A Proper Kitchen
We moved into a dedicated kitchen space in Canada, hired our first team members, and expanded the menu to over 20 dishes representing every corner of Nigeria.
- 2022
Building the Platform
We launched ikokofoods.com so customers could browse, order, and pay online without having to message back and forth. The response was incredible.
- 2023
Growing the Team
We doubled our kitchen staff, brought on dedicated delivery partners, and started catering for corporate events, weddings, and private gatherings across Canada.
- 2024
Today
Hundreds of orders a week, a full online menu, and a community of customers who have made Ikokofoods part of their weekly routine. The pot is still on the fire.
